Hi, I’m Rob Cornelius – a running coach who helps everyday runners train smarter, stay consistent, and enjoy running all while fitting it around our busy lives.
I didn’t get into coaching because I love spreadsheets or generic plans. I got into it because I’ve been where most runners are — juggling life, work, motivation, and trying to train without burning out or getting injured.
Over time, I learned that the best results don’t come from doing more, but from doing the right things consistently.
That’s exactly how I coach. Every plan is built around your life, flexible as you progress, and supported with ongoing guidance.
Hi, I’m Rob Cornelius — a UKA-qualified running coach, founder of RC Running, and most importantly, a husband and dad to my amazing wife and two daughters.
Where is started
My running journey began in 2010 when I secured a place in the London Marathon running for Lupus UK. Looking back, I made just about every mistake possible — but that experience taught me lessons that shaped the runner and coach I am today.
The turning point
After stepping down to the half marathon distance, I returned to the London Marathon in 2014. Smarter training and better understanding led to a 45-minute personal best — and showed me what’s possible when training is done the right way.
What I do now
Today, I coach everyday runners across the UK and run a weekly community running club every Monday night. Helping people become stronger, more confident, and more consistent runners is what drives me.
